Chapter 122: Quiet, I am Thinking
The chubby man pulled the slender man into a nearby corner. Jiang Yun stood not far away, holding his phone and pretending to be on a call to cover up his eavesdropping.
The chubby man glanced around, then wore a shy expression. "How did you know?"
Jiang Yun: "???" Wait, why was this situation getting weirder by the second?
Upon hearing the chubby man's words, the slender man also bit his lip shyly. "I just felt it."
The chubby man glanced at his girlfriend nearby, then turned his back to her and pulled out his phone. "Add me on WeChat, let's chat later."
"Sure." The slender man nodded and added the chubby man on WeChat.
Seeing the request accepted, the chubby man raised an eyebrow at the slender man. "See you next time."
The slender man raised his eyebrow in return. "See you next time."
With that, the slender man walked away, and the chubby man returned to his girlfriend's side, acting as if nothing had happened.
By this point, Jiang Yun and the viewers in his livestream were completely stunned.
"Good grief, you’ve really mastered the art of monogamy."
"Even though that phrase is ambiguous, I can't help but say: flies don't land on seamless eggs."
"That guy's girlfriend is so pitiful; she's basically a stopover for a cruise ship."
"Do you guys have some kind of magnetic field sensor that we normal people lack? How could you even tell?"
"Holy crap, I just noticed he's chubby, has a beard, and is wearing white ankle socks!"
Looking at the comments, Jiang Yun said, "Alright, that's enough gossip. Don't act like you've never seen the world; it's not a big deal. Don't tell people you're my fans when you go out; it's embarrassing."
With that, Jiang Yun headed into the hospital.
Hearing this, the viewers immediately turned the tables on him.
"Wait, weren't you more shocked than us just now, Brother Yun?"
"Brother Yun: 'What scene haven't I seen?' Actually, I haven't seen this one."
"Brother Yun: 'I was just joking about there being so many gay men, I didn't expect to actually run into one.'"
"Are you still going to pretend? Your mouth was hanging open enough to swallow an egg! You were the most shocked person in the whole stream!"
Jiang Yun grabbed his medical records and headed to the Hand Surgery department. Since this was his first time at the First People's Hospital, he didn't immediately find the right place.
After searching around, he approached a nurse's station to ask for directions. Just as he arrived, he heard a man shouting, "No, can't you hospital staff take some responsibility? How could you make such a simple mistake?"
Jiang Yun, who loved a good spectacle, instinctively turned toward the voice. He saw a man in a suit looking unhappily at two nurses.
"Look for yourselves! My wife and I are both Type A blood, so how could my son be Type B? This is ridiculous!"
The nurses only pursed their lips and smiled, saying nothing. The viewers in the livestream were already laughing.
"Oh, it's fine. If you want to live a peaceful life, you have to wear a little green once in a while!"
"Good boy, stand still, let me put this hat on you!"
"It's just a hat, no need to take it so seriously. At least the wife is still yours!"
"Buy one get one free, you hit the jackpot, brother!"
"You don't even have to plow the field to get the harvest; how great is that!"
Seeing the nurses' knowing smiles, the man finally realized what they meant. His eyes widened, and he asked, "Are you sure the hospital didn't make a mistake?"
One of the nurses nodded seriously. "Rest assured, sir, our hospital would never make such a mistake. If you don't trust us, you can go to another hospital to have it rechecked."
Hearing this, the man left in silence with his report.
Jiang Yun sighed and remarked, "In a hospital, anything can happen. Brothers, if you get married and have kids, never lose their birth certificates. Otherwise, you'll need a paternity test to register them. Everyone, be careful!"
The viewers were baffled.
"???"
"Wait, are you warning us? Why does that sound so wrong?"
"Learned something new! I knew watching this stream would teach me real things!"
"Whoa, Brother Yun even knows this? Looks like there's a story here!"
After getting directions to the Hand Surgery department, Jiang Yun headed over. However, the line was long, and it wouldn't be his turn for a while. As he sat in the chairs chatting with his viewers, a girl suddenly stared at him and asked tentatively, "Excuse me, are you Brother Yun?"
Jiang Yun nodded. "Yeah, that's me. What's up?"
The girl smiled. "Hi Brother Yun, I'm a fan. Can we take a picture together?"
"Sure." Jiang Yun didn't hesitate and took a few photos with her.
Afterward, the girl asked, "Are you here to get your hand checked?"
Jiang Yun waved his injured arm. "Yeah, I got hurt a few days ago. It looked a bit inflamed this morning, so I came to get it looked at. Are you injured too?"
The girl shook her head. "No, I'm here with my brother-in-law. He hurt his arm at work today and is inside seeing the doctor now."
"Oh." Jiang Yun nodded, not thinking much of it; it was normal for family to accompany someone to the doctor.
Soon, a middle-aged man walked out of the consulting room. He looked around and said to the girl next to Jiang Yun, "Let's go, wifey. The doctor said it's nothing serious, just need to apply some ointment."
"Okay." The girl nodded and said to Jiang Yun, "Well, Brother Yun, we're heading out."
"Yeah." Jiang Yun nodded.
After they left, he suddenly felt something was off. "Didn't she say she was here with her brother-in-law? Why did that man call her 'wifey'? Is this... some kind of married couple's roleplay?" Jiang Yun asked the viewers, looking puzzled.
The viewers teased him immediately.
"Young couples these days really know how to have fun."
"You married folks have so many tricks up your sleeves."
"Be glad he didn't call her 'daddy,' you're asking for too much."
"You're single, it's normal that you don't understand!"
Just then, an older woman sitting across from Jiang Yun spoke up: "That man is her brother-in-law. Everyone around here knows that."
Jiang Yun: "???" Wait, hold on. What?
Don't say anything, let me think about this for a second.
