Chapter 122: Well Done
Chapter 122: Well Done
Ye Feng had thought he was about to take things further, but a knock at the door brought him to a sudden halt. Huang Shan immediately pushed him away, silently cursing whoever was blind enough to interrupt their intimate moment.
"Go and see who it is," Huang Shan sighed inwardly. She was relieved that she hadn't allowed Ye Feng to take the next step; given his personality and her own rising desires, she knew she would have surrendered completely, which would have been a disaster.
Hearing her and feeling the push, Ye Feng couldn't refuse. He wore a bitter expression as he headed to the door, swearing to himself that if he found out who it was, he would make them pay for ruining his good time.
As the door swung open, Ma Long’s face appeared before him. Ye Feng froze, momentarily wanting to strangle the guy. Seeing the murderous look in Ye Feng’s eyes, Ma Long realized he had interrupted something significant and stammered, "B-Brother Feng, I... I didn't mean to, it’s just..." Ma Long’s voice trembled; he had never seen Ye Feng look so enraged.
Noticing the tremor in Ma Long’s voice, Ye Feng realized he might have overreacted. He quickly composed his features. "Ah Long, what’s wrong? Why are you so nervous?" Ye Feng thought to himself that he could have been an actor; his transition was seamless.
Seeing that Brother Feng was no longer angry, Ma Long quickly put on a bright smile. "Brother Feng, your foresight tonight was incredible! Everything happened exactly as you said. Damn, it was so satisfying! When I saw the look on that team leader's face, I knew he was done for."
"Haha, good. Now, go gather the boys and have them join the staff from President Huang’s company for a few drinks. Enjoy yourselves," Ye Feng said with a grin. *Trying to mess with my company? You must have a death wish,* he thought.
"You got it, Brother Feng! I'll go tell the guys right now. This is going to be great!" Ma Long ran off, laughing. Ye Feng returned to the private room to explain the situation to Huang Shan. She was overjoyed; she had been frantic ever since hearing about the trouble at the club.
Soon, the main hall of the Chenlong Club became a scene of celebration. With the troublesome agitators gone, the atmosphere turned festive. The employees from Huang Shan’s company, who had initially been looking for a bit of fun but found the mood lacking, now joined in the revelry, moved by the camaraderie of the club staff.
They were even pleasantly surprised to find the usually aloof President Huang occasionally clinking glasses with them. The employees were thrilled to see their formidable chairwoman so approachable, and many secretly vowed to work harder to achieve results for the Huang Group.
As music filled the hall, the guests began to dance. In the dim light, many took advantage of the closeness; Ye Feng took the opportunity to let his hands roam over Huang Shan’s ample curves, savoring the sensation.
Huang Shan cast him a playful, reproachful glare but then lowered her head, allowing his touch. As Ye Feng’s hands began to wander more boldly over her body, she felt a flush of heat rising within her. What a bad man!

In the provincial military district compound, an elderly man leaned back in an old rattan chair, rocking slowly. He was old, and after reading documents for a while, he needed to rest, even though his health had improved lately.
Suddenly, a middle-aged man approached, holding a document. The old man opened his eyes, which still burned with an intimidating light despite his frail frame.
The middle-aged man gave a crisp military salute. "Sir, there is a new development at the Chenlong Club tonight," he reported, his voice steady and professional.
"Oh? Tell me, what’s going on?" the old man asked with interest. He was aware of the recent troubles at the Chenlong Club and had previously sent this man to investigate.
The middle-aged man had reported that someone from the Public Security Bureau was targeting the club. He had asked for the elder’s opinion on whether to tip off the bureau to back off, but had reminded him that, traditionally, the military and the government should remain separate. The elder had agreed to let the club handle it, wanting to see how they would react to the pressure, as they weren't yet at a breaking point.
"Our informant at the Chenlong Club reported that tonight, a group of people were taken down outside the club. They called the police, and when the officers arrived, they discovered that the attackers were actually the very officials who had been constantly harassing the club with 'inspections,'" the middle-aged man explained respectfully.
"Oh? It seems the dragon king’s temple has been flooded by his own men," the old man said, his eyes glinting. "Tell me the whole story from beginning to end. I want to know exactly what happened."
The middle-aged man recounted the night’s events. As he listened, the elder grew increasingly intrigued. When the man finished his analysis of the situation, the elder couldn't help but clap his hands.
"Well done! Damn, that’s exactly how you deal with those little punks. Good, very good, truly excellent!"
