Chapter 156: This Game Is Completely Unplayable
(Page 1 of 3)
The game was still going, but the two of them seemed to be standing in entirely different worlds.
One was carefree, while the other was facing a catastrophe.
As he worked the controller, Su Chen casually remarked to Han Jiangxue, “Chef Han, the tomato soup order is about to expire.”
Han Jiangxue heard the mockery in his voice. Her face flushed, and she answered irritably, “Fine, fine!”
Seeing her expression, Su Chen was delighted and added, “Boss Han, I’ve prepared all the ingredients for the chopped scallions.”
At that, Han Jiangxue gritted her teeth. “Throw them on the floor! Throw them on the floor!”
Su Chen continued, “Your pot is about to catch fire.”
Han Jiangxue gripped her controller so tightly that it crackled in her hands. “...I’m coming! I’m going to get them right now!”
Su Chen added, “Boss Han, you haven’t washed the plates yet. If you don’t wash them, we won’t be able to finish the order.”
“Ugh! You’re so annoying!” Han Jiangxue’s face turned green with fury.
Their Boss Han had never been this flustered before!
Even when cooking at home, the worst Han Jiangxue had ever done was burn down the entire kitchen. At least she had always maintained her dignity.
But this damn game had made a complete mess of her before they had even cleared the level!
How humiliating!
Her face flushed again. When Han Jiangxue turned her head, however, she saw the character Su Chen was controlling.
The little raccoon, sitting in a crippled wheelchair, was holding a fire extinguisher and spinning around on the spot, imitating Dracula from *Hotel Transylvania*.
Su Chen had only just discovered this new form of entertainment by accident while bored.
Whether it was amusing or not was beside the point. The important thing was that the move was so ridiculously obscene, its entire appeal lying in the contrast.
The adorable little chef blew on the fire extinguisher while spinning in place, giving off an utterly foolish air.
Most importantly, Su Chen had chosen a raccoon—and not just any raccoon, but one sitting in a wheelchair. That made the whole thing even more hilarious.
So cute!
Su Chen was having the time of his life when Han Jiangxue suddenly shouted at him.
“Su Chen, where are you going? You’re unbelievable!”
“You’ve nearly driven me insane, and you’re still running around with that useless fire extinguisher?!”
“Can’t you see what’s happening?! Hurry up and wash the dishes!”
“If I hadn’t told you, would you have let that crippled bear run around here carrying a fire extinguisher all day?!”
Su Chen: “...”
Su Chen was so astonished that his jaw nearly dropped. Mixed in with his shock was a hint of deliberately feigned grievance.

He gazed at the furious Han Jiangxue and spoke weakly. “Didn’t you say I only had to chop vegetables? You... you can’t just go back on your word like this.”
The whole thing was inexplicable, but deep down, Su Chen found it rather amusing.
This was the first time he had seen Han Jiangxue being so unreasonable. Her adorable appearance was simply too entertaining.
But I’m just a lame little raccoon, Boss Han. Why did you break your promise?
Wah, wah, wah~
At that moment, however, Han Jiangxue was like a volcano on the verge of eruption. She did not care in the slightest about what Su Chen said.
She practically roared, “I’m counting to three! Tsk, tsk, tsk!”
Her anger had even given her voice a distinctly southwestern accent. Seeing this, Su Chen stopped teasing her.
“All right, all right! Boss Han, you don’t have to count. I’m leaving right now!”
Su Chen was utterly bewildered. He did not understand why he was so frightened—Han Jiangxue’s glare had startled him.
He immediately controlled the little fellow, moving the wheelchair to the sink, and began cleaning up the plates and utensils, panting for breath.
As he washed the dishes, Su Chen muttered to himself, “That’s terrifying. The woman’s gone berserk... She’s completely unreasonable...”
As the game continued, Su Chen and Han Jiangxue became increasingly absorbed in it. Their teamwork grew seamless, and together they created several legendary moments from *Overcooked*.
One of them was “The Sweet Little Couple.”
“Ah... damn it! Uh... uh... Boss Han, I’m sorry, I’m sorry! I threw it into the trash can!” Su Chen said with an awkward laugh.
Han Jiangxue, standing nearby, froze.
“...What?”
Su Chen cleared his throat. “Ahem. Well... I wasn’t aiming properly. I really wasn’t. It shouldn’t be my fault, right?”
Han Jiangxue: “...”
“Su Chen, I’m going to kill you!”
Then there was “Two Hearts in Perfect Sync.”
“Hey, hey! I want to eat!”
“Hurry up, hurry up! My pot’s about to catch fire!”
“Exactly!”
“If you know this is the only path, why are you blocking me?”
“Stop pushing me!”
“Get lost!”
There was also “Perfectly Matched.”
“Master Su, could you please stop carrying that frying pan all over the place?”
“No! I’m serving the food!”
“I’m holding the plates. What are you serving food onto?”
“Why aren’t you cooking in the kitchen? Why are you standing there holding a plate?”
“You’re holding a pot too, aren’t you? How dare you say that to me?”
And then there was “Harmonious as Music.”
“Oh my, Master Su, are you really going to chop them like that? You can’t even cut the ingredients properly?”
“You agreed to it? See this steak on the plate? Oh! Sorry, I fell into the water.”
“...”
“Su Chen, what do you mean by that, you bastard?! I drowned three times to make this!”
“Heh heh. I know you’re in a hurry, but don’t panic just yet. You’ll have plenty to panic about in a moment.”
Besides those, there was also the classic “A Match Made to Last a Hundred Years.”
“Good grief... my heart’s about to leap out of my chest.”
“You’re the rookie! Is this what you call playing a game?”
“I’m a rookie? I’m still a rookie? If it weren’t for me, the kitchen would have burned down already!”
“It’s on fire... Holy crap! Look at you—it’s all burning!”
“I really can’t play with you at all!”
“Heh! I don’t want to play with you either!”
“Only idiots put out fires!”
“You bastard! I’m going to kill you!”
In an instant, blazing flames surged everywhere, as if the world itself were coming to an end.
Su Chen spun around once in his wheelchair, like a devout worshiper praying for the arrival of the Goddess of Fire.
He secretly prayed that the flames would reduce the entire kitchen to ashes, allowing him to bring Boss Han’s torment to an end as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, Han Jiangxue snatched the fire extinguisher from Su Chen’s hands, demonstrated her signature move, aimed the nozzle at him, and blasted away furiously, venting all her pent-up frustration.
“We can’t play this game anymore! I’m done playing with you!”
And with those words, the game finally came to an end.
