Chapter 95: Public Opinion (8)
Yun Zui, even when drunk, was not the quiet sort; she became talkative and restless. But she drank very rarely, so she had no idea what sort of drunk she would become.
"Let me tell you, in our entire order, no one can beat me! And you were the first person to know that, do you understand?" Having said that, she broke into another foolish laugh.
Chi Mie coaxed her as though she were a child. "All right, your tolerance is impressive."
In truth, his own tolerance had always been excellent; after a sorrowful childhood, he had trained himself that way.
"Impressive my ass. I still lost to you," Yun Zui mumbled drunkenly, forgetting that she was a modern woman and Chi Mie was a man of ancient times.
"Fine, lie down and go to sleep." Chi Mie supported her as he guided her toward the daybed.
Getting Yun Zui drunk had not been his intention. The rumor that spread after he woke had angered him, and he had already sent Chi Yuan to deal with it. He was certain Yun Zui would not learn of that damned gossip tomorrow, but if she had not been drunk today, she would surely have heard it.
Still, she was already drunk now... and his little scheme had succeeded.
His woman deserved to be cherished with meticulous care, so he could not let Yun Zui suffer any grievance. He would not allow those offensive rumors to reach her, nor permit any slander harmful to her to continue spreading.
"No, I'm not sleepy. I only just got up. Tell me, did you kiss me in that stone cave?" Drunk, Yun Zui voiced the question that had been on her mind.
If she remembered correctly, Chi Mie had kissed her, though she was not entirely sure.
Chi Mie had not expected her to bring this up. Had she not noticed back then? Why mention it only now?
"Do you want me to take responsibility?" Chi Mie drew her into his arms, lifted her chin, and forced her to meet his gaze.
"Heh." Yun Zui suddenly laughed. She was a modern woman, not some woman of the old world; one kiss did not require responsibility.
Her eyes, bright as black jade, narrowed with amusement. "No need for responsibility. But this lady is not one to suffer a loss."
Before Chi Mie could recover from his surprise, she immediately rose on tiptoe, wrapped her arms around his neck, and took the initiative to offer her red lips, kissing him.
He had stolen her first kiss; though she did not know how many kisses Chi Mie had given before, was a deep, lingering kiss his first? Then she would teach him.
Although she had never experienced it herself, she had caught more than a few glimpses of such scenes on television.
Privately pleased, Yun Zui deepened the kiss, clinging to Chi Mie and kissing him fiercely.
She never did anything at a loss. If someone profited from her, she would take it back so neither owed the other anything. Besides, Chi Mie tasted rather good...
For a fleeting moment, Chi Mie was stunned. This Yun Zui was far too wild, wasn't she?
She actually came to him of her own accord.
But Yun Zui was Su Ran Tong, and Su Ran Tong was Yun Zui, so he had no reason to refuse.
Thinking this, Chi Mie immediately wrapped her back into his arms, accepted her advance, and turned the passive into the active.
What surprised Chi Mie even more was that Yun Zui had so many tricks up her sleeve. She was outrageously experienced.
The formidable Prince Chi Mie actually found his kissing technique just a little lacking before Yun Zui, but his talent had always been exceptional in every respect, and he quickly learned. Just as Yun Zui tried to push him away, she could not; forced once more to run out of breath, she had to accept the suffocating, lingering kiss.
Yun Zui had never imagined that, intending only to turn a loss into no loss, she would end up handing herself over instead.
When a sheep falls into a wolf's mouth, is it really so easy to end things?
But Yun Zui's resolve was strong, and for the moment she refused to yield, matching Chi Mie blow for blow to see who was stronger.
