29. Chapter 29: This Girl
This girl had a way of making him lose himself, no matter the time or place.
After a long while, Yun Yi finally popped the grape into his mouth, then coaxed her temptingly, “Yao Yao, why are you still being so distant with your master? Come, lie in my arms, and I’ll teach you the entire Primordial Heart Method!”
Hearing this, Luo Qingyao could no longer hold back. She turned around and glared fiercely at him. “If you don’t say anything, no one will mistake you for a mute!”
With that, she lowered her head and continued studying the Primordial Heart Method.
However, when she looked down at the book in her hands again, she discovered that all the writing and illustrations had vanished. Every page had become completely blank!
Furious, Luo Qingyao sprang to her feet and immediately kicked at Yun Yi. Fortunately, he had been prepared. Before her foot could reach him, he leapt aside.
“What kind of master behaves like you? You do nothing but bully me! Fine, you won’t teach me—but you even erased all the writing and drawings! You’ve gone too far!” Luo Qingyao complained furiously as she glared at Yun Yi.
Yun Yi ate the last grape on the plate, tossed the plate aside, and only then walked over to Luo Qingyao. His tone held a hint of helplessness. “My obedient disciple, how can you blame me for this? I clearly told you that you couldn’t learn anything from the book in the state you were in! You refused to listen to your master, and now that the Primordial Heart Method has disappeared, you put the blame on me instead. You really are being very naughty!”
“You! When did you ever tell me any of that?” Luo Qingyao grew even angrier.
“I did tell you. I absolutely did. I even told you exactly what you had to do in order to learn what was inside. Yao Yao, you can’t wrong your master like this.” Yun Yi blinked, his dazzling eyes filled with teasing amusement. Even his tone had taken on an air of carefree irreverence.
Luo Qingyao was nearly beside herself with rage. “You’re talking nonsense! You never told me how to learn it. You only told me to lie in your arms!”
“See? My obedient disciple, you’ve finally admitted it! Your master told you long ago that if you want to learn the Primordial Heart Method, you must come into my arms. Otherwise, you’ll never be able to learn it!”
Dressed all in white, Yun Yi looked like an immortal. He was gentle, refined, languid, and unconstrained, yet possessed an allure capable of captivating all living things—especially that devastatingly beautiful face of his.
This time, however, Luo Qingyao had no interest whatsoever in his charms. Her heart held nothing but fury. “You’re playing me! Do you think I’m easy to bully? A master like you ought to go bang your head against a wall!”
Hearing this, Yun Yi did not become angry. Instead, the wicked smile on his face grew even more dazzling, carrying a breathtaking beauty that surpassed all creation. Suddenly, his figure blurred and vanished from where he stood. In the next instant, he appeared beside Luo Qingyao.
While she was off guard, he reached out and slipped an arm around her waist, drawing her into his embrace. Then he lowered his head and covered her petal-soft lips with his own…
“Mmm… you… let… mmm—”
Luo Qingyao struggled with all her strength, but not only did she fail to break free of his hold—somehow, her resistance turned into throwing herself into his arms. Before long, both of her arms were clasped around Yun Yi’s neck, and she was kissing him passionately, their embrace growing ever more fervent.
That kiss truly left the heavens spinning and the earth reeling, as though the sun and moon had lost their light. All that remained around them was the mingled warmth of their breaths. Thick with ambiguity and longing, the atmosphere ignited the heat surrounding them.
By the time Yun Yi finally released Luo Qingyao, her cheeks were flushed crimson.
