Gu Yubai personally came to pick up Si Tang and headed to the film set where Su Yuejin was shooting. Although the public controversy had not yet subsided, the filming schedule had to continue.

The driver was driving ahead, and Gu Yubai’s gaze turned toward her, filled with curiosity.

“Si Tang, where have you been these past four years?”

“Does it concern you?” Si Tang sneered coldly. “We’re already divorced.”

Gu Yubai had never seen Si Tang with such a thorny demeanor.

The man’s eyes darkened, and he frowned as he spoke bluntly, “Why did we divorce? Isn’t it because you were too difficult? I told you back then, Yuejin is just my sister.”

Si Tang took a breath, swallowing the word “Get lost” that lingered on her lips repeatedly.

“Zhouzhou misses you very much.” After a brief silence, Gu Yubai spoke again.

The long silence and suffocating atmosphere filled the car. Si Tang no longer had the heart to respond.

Would that heartless child miss her? It would be easier for Si Tang to believe that Gu Yubai’s company was about to collapse.

Gu Zhouzhou’s existence was like a wound torn open from Si Tang’s foolish past—each memory brought unbearable pain she was unwilling to face.

Soon, they arrived at the film set, and she got out of the car first.

Su Yuejin had known in advance that Gu Yubai was coming and waited at the entrance. Seeing Si Tang standing beside him, her expression immediately shifted dramatically.

“Si Tang, you’re back?!” she raised her voice.

Then, with a wary expression, she grabbed Gu Yubai’s arm, smiling brightly with a pointed tone, “Si Tang, you abandoned Zhouzhou back then, and now you still dare to cling to Yubai?”

She clearly misunderstood the situation.

Si Tang stood opposite them, expression cold, glancing at Gu Yubai.

He brushed off Su Yuejin’s hand and explained, “Yuejin, Si Tang is now your public relations executive.”

“What!” Su Yuejin’s eyes widened, then she looked up at Gu Yubai with a hint of stubbornness, “It’s not that I don’t trust Si Tang, but I’m just not ready.”

“Yuejin, obey the company’s arrangements.” Gu Yubai frowned, sensing a strange irritation under Si Tang’s gaze.

Normally, he would have soothed her.

Si Tang observed their interaction quietly, and when she met Su Yuejin’s gaze, the latter’s face was pale and tense, as if facing an enemy—an expression that almost made Si Tang want to laugh.

With Gu Yubai’s grand arrival, the director immediately pulled him aside to discuss investment matters.

Su Yuejin watched Gu Yubai’s retreating figure, her eyes gradually sharpening.

“Si Tang, you’re even more shameless than I thought. After all these years, you still won’t give up on Yubai.” She turned around, her expression arrogant and domineering.

Her sudden change was far more convincing than her acting in front of the camera.

Si Tang crossed her arms and suddenly burst into laughter, her strikingly beautiful face swaying with charm. Even Su Yuejin was momentarily stunned.

“Watch your mouth.” Si Tang’s voice was commanding as she stepped closer, “I’m recording. If that clip gets out, guess who will have to clean up your mess?”

Su Yuejin snapped back to reality, furious to the point of nearly biting her tongue, her nails digging into her palms without feeling pain.

Seeing Si Tang’s phone off-screen, she glared, realizing she had been deceived.

With disdain, Su Yuejin said, “Cut the tricks. I could take him away before, but from now on, Yubai will belong only to me.”

Si Tang had overestimated her own patience. Even with money, she no longer wanted to endure. One slap for the mistress, two for the scumbag.

At worst, she would terminate the contract.

She lifted her eyes and said slowly, “Don’t worry, I have no interest in garbage I don’t want. You two are getting married soon, right? You’re the first mistress to rise like this. Congratulations.”

Su Yuejin, furious and desperate, reached out to strike, but before her hand touched Si Tang’s face, the woman grabbed her wrist.

Did she really think she was an easy target? Years of experience had toughened Si Tang’s temper, especially against one of the people she hated most.

Without hesitation, she delivered a sharp slap.

“Ah—” Su Yuejin clutched her cheek, wincing in pain, and when she looked up, hatred filled her eyes. “You filthy woman...”

Suddenly, something caught her attention, and she stopped mid-sentence, tears streaming down her face, filled with grievance and sorrow.

Heavy footsteps echoed behind Si Tang.

“Yubai, I’m sorry. I really can’t work with Si Tang.” Su Yuejin revealed her reddened face, “I haven’t even said anything yet.”

Gu Yubai pushed aside the director’s conversation and came over immediately, originally worried that Si Tang might be too soft and suffer unfairly.

Now, his frown deepened.

“Apologize.” Gu Yubai spoke, his dark eyes fixed on Si Tang.

Su Yuejin’s lips curled into a fleeting smile of triumph.

Si Tang, indifferent, averted her gaze. Facing these two was enough to drain her patience.

“Check the surveillance first, then confront me?” she pointed to the camera overhead.

She had noticed it as soon as she entered, so if Su Yuejin didn’t act first, she wouldn’t be foolish enough to provoke her.

With evidence, there was no need for idle words.

Su Yuejin’s expression tensed as she looked at the surveillance—more surveillance! The slap she gave the assistant before was also caught on camera.

Her lower lip nearly bitten to bleeding, Su Yuejin knew she was at fault and could only brush it aside, asking in a choked voice, “Si Tang, you don’t like me and hit me, but I can endure for Yubai’s sake...”

Si Tang ignored her and interrupted, “Su Yuejin, go act on set. There’s more room for performance there.”

Su Yuejin’s fighting spirit clearly paled in comparison to Si Tang’s open boldness. Anyone could tell how things stood.

But it had to be admitted that Si Tang’s transformation surprised Gu Yubai—she seemed reborn, confident and radiant, her presence impossible to ignore.

Lost in thought, Gu Yubai’s private phone suddenly rang.

He answered.

“Mr. Gu, the young master has collapsed from low blood sugar at school!” the assistant’s anxious voice came through.

Gu Zhouzhou had fainted?

Gu Yubai’s expression changed sharply. After quickly asking for details, he learned that Gu Zhouzhou was now in the school infirmary.

“I’m coming immediately.” He decided without hesitation.

After hanging up, Gu Yubai’s gaze swept over Si Tang, ignoring the nearby feigning concern of Su Yuejin.

“You’re coming with me.” He said to Si Tang.
