After Hua Ruoxue kissed Tang Yi, she paid him no further attention and began to carefully examine the room. As a result, she failed to notice the strange changes happening to Tang Yi.

Tang Yi, on the other hand, was utterly stunned by Hua Ruoxue's kiss. He had seen scenes like this countless times in movies and on television, but now that it was happening to him, the feeling was entirely different. He stood rooted to the spot, his eyes shimmering with hearts, his heart brimming with joy, and his male hormones surging. Meanwhile, within the sea of his consciousness, the source of his supernatural power was shimmering with a dreamlike radiance. That landmass was expanding and thickening, each trapezoidal form gradually growing larger, and the glowing orbs ceaselessly emitted all manner of light. Tang Yi’s superpowers were, astonishingly, rising collectively in rank. This state persisted for more than half an hour.

“Tang, Tang, what’s wrong?” Just as Tang Yi's powers finished evolving and he was still in a daze, Ding Pengfei noticed him standing stupidly at the doorway of Hua Ruoxue’s room. He approached to check on him.

“Oh, nothing, nothing!” Tang Yi’s face flushed as he hurriedly replied.

“It’s Pengfei? How do you like your rooms?” Hua Ruoxue, hearing their conversation, also walked to the doorway.

“Miss Ruoxue, we’ve checked everything. Tang’s skills are truly remarkable! Just look at your room—it’s far nicer than ours,” Ding Pengfei said with a grin.

“All right, none of your flattery. We’re getting ready to take off. Everyone to your seats!” Tang Yi ordered. The five of them entered the cockpit and took their places. Tang Yi started up the ship...

...Moon City—

“Thank you, friend!” Bai Dongfang clasped his hands in gratitude to a passerby. This was the hundredth person he’d asked about Tang Yi. “His reputation is well-deserved. Looks like I should ask Mr. Bu again about where to find this Tang.” With that thought, Bai Dongfang strode off toward Bu Bailai’s auction house.

“Well, if it isn’t Brother Bai! You found your answer so quickly,” Bu Bailai greeted Bai Dongfang as he arrived.

“Yes, Mr. Bu. Please, would you help me contact this Tang? No matter what, as long as there’s hope, I must save my senior brother.” Bai Dongfang set down the coffin from his back as he spoke.

“No problem, but let me warn you—the price for Tang’s help isn’t cheap. It could cost more than those miraculous elixirs that bring the dead back to life,” Bu Bailai said as he took out his mobile communicator, repeating his warning.

“The price for Tang’s intervention—I’ve heard about it. That’s not an issue. As long as it can save my brother, no amount of materials or spirit stones matters,” Bai Dongfang replied firmly.

...Tang Yi’s ship was slowly traveling along Earth’s orbit, and gazing at the planet from space was a rare pleasure. Suddenly, Tang Yi noticed someone trying to call him, though the signal was weak. He motioned for Hua Shaojie to deploy a relay station along the orbit. Hua Shaojie set up the station, launching it through an opening in the bottom of the ship. As soon as it was in place, the signal strengthened, and Tang Yi answered the call.

“Oh, it’s Mr. Bu. What brings you to call me today?” Tang Yi greeted him heartily when Bu’s face appeared on the screen.

“Tang, you must be joking—you’re so busy, I wouldn’t dare bother you without good reason. You were the one who insisted I only call for important matters when you gave me your number,” Mr. Bu’s voice replied through the communicator.

“So, Mr. Bu, you must have something important for me now?” Tang Yi asked.

“Tang, this is best discussed in person. Would it be convenient for us to meet? By the way, where are you? I’ve never seen a place like that behind you,” Mr. Bu commented, noticing the strange background.

“Oh, it’s nothing. I’m in my own shuttle. It so happens I’m heading to Moon City today—find me there! I was planning to browse your wares anyway, see if you have anything interesting,” Tang Yi replied.

“That’s wonderful! You’ll never regret bargain-hunting at my place. I’ll have a feast ready to welcome you!” Bu Bailai ended the call with delight.

“Luck is on our side—Tang is coming here. Looks like your brother really isn’t fated to die,” Bu Bailai said to Bai Dongfang.

...

“Hey, look! What’s that flying up there?” On the streets of Moon City, a group of pedestrians looked up to see an unidentified object approaching. Their shouts drew everyone’s attention skyward.

It was Tang Yi’s flying saucer. The saucer landed outside Moon City, near an entry point in the city’s defensive array. Though the moon was small, it produced some unique materials, so people often came searching for them. Thus, the city maintained an entry point for such visitors.

The hatch at the belly of the ship opened, and five glowing figures emerged—Tang Yi and his companions. Each was encased in a sphere of light, the colors varying from person to person. This was a small formation that allowed cultivators below the merging stage to survive in the void. It was activated from their storage rings—rings Tang Yi had upgraded for everyone at New Year, each inscribed with this formation. As soon as Tang Yi disembarked, he put away the saucer.

When Tang Yi’s group reached the city’s entry, a crowd had already gathered, curious and blocking their way.

“Oh, it’s the head of the Tang Group. No wonder,” someone in the crowd recognized Tang Yi and explained to the others. The onlookers, satisfied with their discovery, dispersed, eager to gossip about this new tidbit.

Once inside the city, Tang Yi and his friends dispelled their protective spheres and checked into rooms at the Moonview Inn. After greeting Hua Ruoxue and the others, Tang Yi set out alone for Mr. Bu’s place.

“Tang, this is Bai Dongfang. Brother Bai, this is the legendary Tang,” Bu Bailai introduced them in the auction house’s VIP room.

“No need for pleasantries. Let’s get to the point,” Tang Yi said directly, prompting Mr. Bu to let Bai Dongfang recount Li Zhan’s injuries and current condition in detail. After listening, Tang Yi fell silent for a while before speaking.

“I see. May I open the coffin for a look?”

“Of course,” Bai Dongfang replied, standing the coffin upright and lifting the lid. Inside, Li Zhan’s face was pale, and a ghastly hole gaped in his chest.

“I think saving your brother shouldn’t be a problem, but—” Tang Yi began.

“I understand about the price,” Bai Dongfang interrupted, taking out a storage pouch and handing it to Tang Yi. “If you can save my brother, I’ll give you ten pouches like this. Will that suffice?” He looked at Tang Yi, full of hope.
