Chapter 14: I’m Not Just Fooling Around! Pinecone Phlegm-Shaking Lightning Whip!
Even in an ordinary match, when a player is down to a sliver of health and a lantern suddenly comes drifting in, the thrilling escape of stepping onto it and fleeing with barely any health left is enough to make players cry out in astonishment.
All the more so in a professional match, where if Thresh had arrived even the tiniest bit later, the situation would have been completely different.
Breathe angrily slammed his mouse. “Damn it! What the hell is this Thresh? Elk, didn’t you say he had just recalled? I only went in because I saw the opportunity! But it’s been barely ten-something seconds—how the hell is he already on top lane?!”
How could Breathe not be furious when the fat meat right at his lips had flown away?
What was more, this was not merely a matter of missing one chance to solo-kill his opponent.
Breathe had to consider whether this attempt to kill TheShy was the last sliver of opportunity he would get all game.
“He really had just recalled… I saw him return with my own eyes. How could that be fake?” Elk was even more bewildered.
He immediately pressed the Tab key for a look.
Only then did he understand.
After recalling, Thresh had bought Boots of Swiftness and even picked up a Rapid Firecannon.
Meanwhile, in-game—
Death Sentence!
The masterful Thresh unleashed the full Infernal Sauna treatment, along with the complimentary bonus service of Passionate Whiplash. Gwen was ultimately unable to endure the humiliation. Her whole body trembled uncontrollably, her legs shaking violently as she collapsed to her knees, letting out a soft whimper before dropping dead in front of the turret.
“Just give up, Xian darling. This is pointless. Seriously.”
He dragged her back beneath the turret and continued tormenting her.
Items, support, abilities—all executed in one smooth motion! Later, I told my system that there was no way I could catch the enemy top laner this time.
A dark, ghostly prison slowly materialized in the shape of a hexagram, while chains dragged Gwen across its surface.
By then, the turret had cleared away the outer minions and turned its attacks toward Gwen.
Really, what girl could withstand something so thick and long— a turret—repeatedly firing those terrifying projectiles at her?
Gwen certainly could not.
“Don’t panic, brothers. There’s still hope this game. This Thresh has gotten carried away; he’s just messing around. I think we can turn this around! I’ll flash an emote to provoke him and try to waste some of his time… Heh, this idiot actually stepped closer. He doesn’t seriously think a support can kill me, does he? Huh? I’ll just hide in the minion wave. Even under your turret, what can a support Thresh do to me? Looks like his plays in the first few waves were just lucky flukes. This guy’s mechanics aren’t anything special after all.”
“What kind of legendary itemization is this? Hide the name and it looks like a Bronze player’s build. Thresh bought Rapid Firecannon? He had the richest early-game economy and spent it all for seven percent movement speed? You’re sabotaging yourself, little brat.” Breathe sneered inwardly several times before rallying himself again.

The second Death Sentence, now off cooldown, was cast and successfully predicted Gwen’s escape route.
He said I was just fooling around?
At this point, every spectator was dumbfounded.
“Confirmed!”
“Study the technique—no, study the sorcery!”
“Smack!”
“Keep it on! I want to learn the technique.”
Though he was frustrated, Breathe began laughing instead after seeing Thresh’s item build.
“A support Thresh solo-killing a full-health cannon minion?”
In an instant, the travel time was nearly cut in half, producing a spectacular rescue that earned cheers from countless viewers.
The Chain of Souls struck Gwen with pinpoint accuracy.
“Investigate thoroughly! Tear him apart!”
Hook landed!
…
I’m not just fooling around.
Of course, if Cheng Xian had heard that explanation, he would certainly have angrily criticized him.
“What am I looking at?! My God! The support solo-killed the top laner?!”
Boots of Swiftness directly increased movement speed by 110, while Rapid Firecannon provided an additional seven percent movement-speed efficiency.
Slowed by ninety-nine percent, she was held for one second.
Flay followed immediately, dragging Gwen farther toward her own turret.
Even the barrage of comments was filled with question marks.
“Oh no! Brothers, there’s a hack!”

Even the voice of Remember, the commentator, fell half a beat behind.
“This is unbelievable. Is that kind of awareness something a normal human being can have?”
It took only about eighteen seconds to leave the fountain and reach top lane.
After finally recovering from his shock, he shouted excitedly.
He had never imagined that one basic attack from Thresh could instantly kill a full-health cannon minion.
With both effects active, Thresh’s movement speed reached an astonishing five hundred.
…
Thresh strode forward two steps. Rapid Firecannon finished charging, increasing his attack range by 150 units!
Pinecone Phlegm-Shaking Lightning Whip!
One lash instantly killed the full-health cannon minion in front of him. He then turned his attention toward Gwen, who was hiding behind the minion wave and had never intended to leave.
Two attacks.
Cheng Xian swiftly pressed his ultimate.
“What the hell?! How did he just instantly kill that cannon minion?! Did he activate some damage-boosting hack or something?!”
Breathe shuddered violently in fright.
Gritting his teeth, Breathe cast his E ability toward the area outside the turret’s range.
Just as he stepped beyond the turret—

Next chapter will explain how he was able to instantly kill the cannon minion.
